Roxanne Perez has some notable predecessors.
For the last three years, Roxanne Perez has been a regular fixture in the WWE NXT women’s division. Before her came a number of other rising stars and veterans to the wrestling business, three of whom shared the same locker space as her. On this week’s episode of WWE NXT, fans caught a glimpse into the backstage area of the WWE Performance Center, which revealed the identities of Perez’s predecessors.
In the foreground of the segment, Thea Hail assured Karmen Petrovic that she was being strong, rather than selfish, for recently laying out her questionable love interest Ashante “Thee” Adonis with a kick. Overhearing this, Jaida Parker instead called Petrovic “soft” and challenged her to a match later on that night.
Behind Hail’s shoulder, fans noticed the locker of former WWE NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez, which was positioned two away from Petrovic’s. Below Perez’s nameplate read the names of three former WWE NXT stars — Sasha Banks, Aliyah, and Sarray — who inhabited the locker before “The Prodigy.”

Sasha Banks, a WWE Grand Slam Champion, is now known as Mercedes Moné in All Elite Wrestling. In WWE NXT (2012-2015), Moné notably held the NXT Women’s Championship and carved her character as “The Boss.” Now, she holds the title of “The CEO,” in addition to the AEW TBS, NJPW STRONG, and RevPro Undisputed British Women’s Championships.
Aliyah’s NXT run spanned from 2015 until 2021. Meanwhile, Sarray (aka Sareee) occupied the locker from 2021 until her departure in early 2023. Her last match under the WWE banner took place in August 2022 in a losing effort to then-NXT Women’s Champion Mandy Rose
