Does Mercedes Moné have creative control in All Elite Wrestling?
Since signing with AEW last year, there have been rumors and accusations that Mercedes Moné has and utilizes her creative control to win matches in the company. But is there any truth to these rumors?
According to Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp (via Fightful Select), sources in both AEW and New Japan Pro-Wrestling have denied these claims. Neither company has heard of Moné having creative control in her contract.
Moné has made claims in past interviews of having creative control. However, both companies believe these have largely been done in-character.
Mercedes will face Jamie Hayter in the finals of the Women’s Owen Hart Cup tournament later this month at Double or Nothing. The winner of that match will challenge Timeless Toni Storm for the AEW Women’s World Championship at All In: Texas.
