On the latest episode of TNA Impact, fans witnessed a surprising appearance as Robert Stone arrived with a bold agenda.
The moment came after Cody Deaner gave an emotional segment, revealing that his TNA contract was expiring. Deaner admitted he hadn’t won a match in over a year but shared how proud he was to wrestle, be a father and husband, and perform for the TNA fans.
However, he was interrupted by Director of Authority Santino Marella. Marella offered Deaner a match against Eddie Edwards at TNA Under Siege to prove his worth. Marella mentioned if Deaner can beat Edwards at TNA Under Siege, he can go to the Board of Directors with a case to renew Cody Deaner’s TNA contract.
They get interrupted by Robert Stone, alongside former WWE Superstar Alicia Fox, now using her real name, Victoria Crawford.
Why was Robert Stone back in TNA?
Robert Stone declared Cody Deaner a waste of space and accused Santino Marella of being unfit for his position as Director of Authority. Stone revealed that TNA management had placed him in a powerful position.
Stone will be overseeing everything Santino Marella does. If Santino slips up, Victoria Crawford will be there to assist. He also mentions that Crawford, who now has a Knockouts Championship match against Masha Slamovich at Under Siege, promised to bring pride to TNA once she becomes champion.
The segment ends with Robert Stone warning Santino Marella, stating that he will be watching him ‘very, very closely.’ With Stone asserting his influence and Crawford aiming for gold. It will be interesting to see how things unfold as Stone appears to target Marella.
This was a return of sorts for Stone, who previously worked in TNA as Robbie E for seven years. Robbie E is a former Television Champion, X Division Champion and Tag Team Champion.
