WWE has found its new ring announcer for SmackDown with Lilian Garcia moving on from the temporary role.
Following the March 14 episode of SmackDown, Lilian Garcia announced that her run as a full-time ring announcer with WWE had come to an end. Garcia will remain with the company and will ring announce future Saturday Night’s Main Event specials. We now have an update on her replacement.
This afternoon on social media, the in-house announcer for the NHL Las Vegas Golden Knights, Mark Shunock, revealed that he’s the new ring announcer for WWE SmackDown, tweeting out:
“Stepping into a new ring with @WWE. Thrilled to join Friday Night SmackDown. Mark “Nash” will see you tomorrow night at @TheO2. #WWE #WWESmackDown #SmackDown #RingAnnouncer,” Mark Shunock said in a post.
In addition to his duties with the Golden Knights, Shunock is also known for his work with the Las Vegas Raiders of the NFL and Top Rank Boxing.
WrestleZone will have live coverage of WWE SmackDown tomorrow as it airs on Netflix in the afternoon.
