Glenn Jacobs Continues Campaign That Die Hard Is Not A Christmas Movie

Glenn Jacobs is determined to have Die Hard recognized as not being a Christmas movie.

The 1988 movie starring Bruce Willis is considered an all-time classic. It features Willis as New York cop John McClane saving his wife from terrorists during a Christmas party at the Nakatomi Plaza in Los Angeles.

It has spawned four sequels, of which one (maybe two) is good. However, the debate rages on whether this film, in which the plot only makes sense if it is specifically set at Christmas, is classified as a “Christmas Movie” or not.

Glenn Jacobs (Kane in WWE) is firmly in the “not a Christmas movie” camp. He has taken to Twitter to argue his case, even providing a (fake) order of declaration from a judge declaring to be a Christmas movie.

The declaration explains the numerous reasons why it should be considered so. These include:

  • Being set at Christmas
  • The soundtrack contains almost exclusively Christmas songs
  • Various Christmas decorations throughout the film
  • Various Christmas references are made (“No I have a machine gun. Ho Ho Ho.)

This is something the WWE Hall of Famer resolutely disagrees with. Additionally, it is something Glenn Jacobs is campaigning against. On Twitter, he threatened to take the ruling to the Supreme Court to challenge the ruling, jokingly wanting to escalate the matter as high as he could.

“I’ll take this all the way to the Supreme Court if I have to because #DieHardisNOTaChristmasmovie!!!”

Glenn Jacobs has been replying to comments about Die Hard for the last few days, raising awareness for his cause.

Despite his pleas, it seems that most users are disagreeing with him on social media.
