The AAA World Cruiserweight Championship changed hands at the company’s latest set of television tapings.
Lucha Libre AAA held television tapings on December 7. Among other highlights, Laredo Kid defeated Matt Riddle to win the World Cruiserweight Championship. In doing so, he won the title for the second time.
Riddle previously won the championship at TripleMania XXXII: Mexico City on August 17. There, he defeated Komander and Laredo Kid.
Laredo Kid previously won the World Cruiserweight Championship in 2019 and held the title for over 1,000 days. AAA did not recognize the title change when Lio Rush beat Laredo Kid for the championship at an MLW Fusion taping in February 2021.
Riddle remains featured in MLW. He is set to challenge for the world title at MLW Kings of Colosseum.
