Brooks Jensen beat a former partner and seemingly found a new ally on WWE NXT.
On the July 23rd episode of WWE NXT, Josh Briggs faced Brooks Jensen in a No Disqualification match. Jensen attacked Briggs during his entrance to kick-start the bout. The former tag team partners battled back and forth in a hard-fought bout. Briggs slammed Jensen through the broadcast table. The two competitors brought other weapons into the contest as well.
In the closing minutes, Shawn Spears came out and distracted Briggs. Jensen capitalized and hit Briggs with a chair. He then dropped Briggs with a DDT onto a chair for the win.
After the bell, Jensen celebrated his win, and Spears put a hand on his shoulder.
Jensen and Briggs are former NXT UK Tag Team Champions. Jensen was recently given a second chance in NXT after he claimed that his WWE contract was up in June.
