Kayla Braxton has given more details about her debut movie role.
Last month, the former WWE star announced her intention to leave the company. She refuted rumors she was leaving to join AEW, with the backstage interviewer landing her first acting role soon after.
Kayla Braxton Tweeted earlier this month about her first project since leaving WWE. She revealed that she’d finished filming her first movie and claimed she appeared alongside actors she “admired for years.”
“Just wrapped my first movie…and I got to do it alongside actors I’ve admired for years! One in particular I’ve always dreamed of meeting someday … never in a million years did I think I’d one day be sharing scenes with them! What is life?! Can’t wait for you to see it!”
Little was mentioned about the movie since then, up until today. Kayla Braxton Tweeted out some details about the latest movie she has been involved in.
She showed a screenshot from Deadline about the movie Stranglehold, which she will be a part of. Kayla Braxton will appear in the comedy thriller alongside some top actors like Ashley Benson, Jake Lacy, Justin Long & Ron Perlman.
She name-dropped Justin Long as being a dream co-star of hers. Kayla Braxton called herself a big fan of the actor, and cannot wait for the fans to see the movie when it’s released.
“Here’s the movie I got to be a part of! Working alongside these insanely talented people was surreal. I’ve been a fan of Justin Long forever and always dreamed of one day being in a movie with him, so the fact my first movie role was with him is nuts! Can’t wait for u to see it!”
Her part in the movie has not been revealed, but it is likely a smaller role.
