Marvel Studios released the first teaser trailer for Captain America: Brave New World this morning but a certain WWE Superstar was nowhere to be found.
The film, which stars Anthony Mackie and Harrison Ford, revealed its first trailer today ahead of the release of Deadpool & Wolverine on July 26. This trailer will no doubt air ahead of Marvel Studios’ only theatrical film of 2024 later this month.
Back in May 2023, it was revealed that RAW Superstar Seth “Freakin” Rollins filmed a role in this movie when it was originally titled Captain America: New World Order. While it hasn’t been confirmed who Rollins will play, reports were suggesting he’ll play the role of Cobra from The Serpent Society.
Unfortunately, this movie underwent extensive reshoots in 2024. With some industry insiders reporting that Rollins’ part might have been completely removed from the film.
While Rollins might not make the final cut, Mackie will still share the screen with another wrestling star next year. It was recently revealed that season two of Twisted Metal, featuring former AEW Champion Samoa Joe will begin this month. This is the reason why Joe was written off television on Dynamite earlier this week. Filming is scheduled to run off and on through October.
