WWE announced that Kofi Kingston suffered an injury following an attack he suffered at the hands of Karrion Kross.
On the July 1 episode of WWE RAW, Xavier Woods defeated Karrion Kross. After the bell, Kross attacked Kingston and viciously targeted his arm.
During the July 8 episode of WWE RAW, Michael Cole announced that Kofi Kingston suffered an AC joint sprain in his shoulder during the attack.
Kross then addressed the attack in a vignette as he sent a message to Woods. He said that the New Day was officially “dead,” and that the group, and legends as a whole, did nothing but hold back the new blood. Kross then stated that The Final Testament would make sure that the old guard eventually made way for the new generation.
As of this writing, there is no word on how long Kofi Kingston will be out of action. WrestleZone will monitor the situation and provide more information as it becomes available.
