Damian Priest and Seth Rollins came to a new agreement.
Ahead of WWE Money in the Bank, World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest and Seth Rollins agreed to a high-pressure stipulation for their title match at the premium live event. If Rollins lost, he would never again be able to challenge for the title while Priest held it. However, if Priest lost, he would have to leave the Judgment Day.
The match broke down in chaos, as Drew McItyre cashed in his Money in the Bank contract, and CM Punk attacked him. Priest then pinned McIntyre for the win.
On the July 8 episode of WWE RAW, Seth Rollins spoke with Damian Priest backstage. Rollins noted that Priest was both lucky and good on Saturday, and he agreed to honor their previous arrangement. However, Priest said that he still had a lot to prove, so he would happily throw their agreement out the window. Priest told Rollins that he would give Rollins a rematch if he retained the title against Gunther at WWE SummerSlam.
WWE has confirmed that Priest will defend the title against Gunther at WWE SummerSlam. Gunther previously earned the title shot by winning the King of the Ring tournament.
