AEW Collision Results – July 6, 2024
This week’s episode of AEW Collision kicks off with Maxwell Jacob Friedman.
MJF says he knows everyone in the building is inbred and incredibly stupid, but he would appreciate it if everyone kept their mouths shut. Friedman says Daniel Garcia is nothing more than a pawn. MJF says his match with Garcia at All In was never going to happen, and he was always going to stab him in the back and break his neck.
Friedman says Garcia is a Make-A-Wish kid at best. MJF says he offered him a match against the best wrestler to ever exist and didn’t give him an answer, so now Garcia isn’t going to make it to All In or ever wrestle again. MJF says he’s not here to talk to Garcia; he’s here to talk to someone else.
Friedman rolls a clip of a promo from 2023 that reminds everyone that he’d have to stab everyone in the back before they stab him. MJF says he opened up to us, and he told them that if he opened up, it would tear his heart out if we turned our backs on him and we didn’t give a damn. Friedman says he did everything for us, changed for us, and broke his body for us.
MJF explains his actions on AEW Collision
MJF says we repaid him by chanting, “Thank you, Joe!” MJF says while he was out rehabbing, we discarded him for people like Swerve Strickland and Will Ospreay. Friedman says he’s going to take away everything we love in this company, and the only way to fix AEW is with him on top.
MJF says Will Ospreay can’t help this company like he can. Friedman says Ospreay is a child and doesn’t care about ticket sales or making money; he only cares about putting on good matches. MJF says the only ratings Ospreay comes from is a guy named Meltzer while he cares about Nielsen.
Friedman calls Ospreay out and says he’ll sacrifice him like a goat. Ospreay’s music hits, and MJF just laughs because Tony Schiavone acknowledges that Ospreay isn’t there tonight. MJF says he didn’t come out because he’s a gutless coward just like us.
Mark Briscoe, Orange Cassidy, and Kyle O’Reilly are backstage. O’Reilly says after Forbidden Door he’s feeling bummed out. Briscoe says they all lost, but the word of the day is epiphany, and failure is just a figment of their imagination. Briscoe says they are about to put a historical ass-kicking on the Iron Savages.
