EC3 Comments On The Similarities Between His Signature Hand Gesture And ‘The Shocker’

EC3 shares some shocking news.

EC3’s signature hand gesture involves holding three fingers sideways, emulating an ‘E’ or the ‘3’ in his name. The shocker also holds three fingers up, although it’s in a different orientation (and a completely different context).

EC3 was asked if it was a question he frequently received (no, not the Batista one) and if he was aware of the similarities between the two gestures. He says he ripped it from Matt Hardy, whom he feuded with in TNA, but yeah… he knew all along.

“[Feigns surprise] I… I thought it was Version 1, Matt Hardy! That’s where I took it from, I just twisted it to the side,” the NWA World’s Heavyweight Champion explained.

“Funny story though — the action figure I have in the yellow gear from the WWE, comes with three sets of hands,” he continued. “Three sets of hands, and one of them is the Shocker… I knew it all along guys; come on.”

EC3 also confirmed he was talking about his WWE Elite action figure from Mattel, not the Basic figure he threw in the trash.

During the same interview, EC3 also spoke about his world travels, which included recent stops in France and Italy. He was asked about his experience visiting various cities and if there were any places he visited that gave him a true culture shock.

He mentioned the “weird bubble” surrounding Ohio Valley Wrestling, where he reigns as OVW National Heavyweight Champion, before noting the vortex that surrounds Erie, Pennsylvania.

“Louisville’s great, [but] those fans, real weird. Weird little bubble. If I go — let me go back into my time machine, read through these defenses. There’s one place in the UK. I couldn’t pick out on the map,” EC3 explained. “Erie, Pennsylvania, that would be the one. Erie, Pennsylvania, though in the heartland of America, has no idea what’s taking place outside of Erie, Pennsylvania.”
