NXT star Charlie Dempsey made his unexpected TNA Wrestling debut!
Recently, WWE has been building a good working relationship with TNA. Fans were treated to a pleasant surprise at the 2024 Royal Rumble Premium Live Event when TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace was an entrant in the Women’s Rumble match. A few months later, Grace challenged Roxanne Perez for the NXT Women’s Championship at Battleground.
Joe Hendry and Frankie Kazarian also made appearances on NXT. Tatum Paxley also showed up in TNA to challenge Jordynne Grace for the TNA Knockouts Championship.
On Thursday night’s episode of TNA Impact, former NXT UK Heritage Cup Champion Charlie Dempsey made a surprise debut.
On Thursday night’s episode of Impact, Leon Slater and Trey Miguel were battling each other in a one-on-one match. As the match was in progress, Slater looked to climb onto the top rope to take out Miguel. But as he got to the top rope, Charlie Dempsey showed up and took out everyone in sight.
As a result, this match ended in a no contest.
As the show carried on, two more stars qualified for the Six Way Elimination Match for the TNA Wrestling World Heavyweight Championship at Slammiversary. It was none other than Frankie Kazarian, who defeated Mike Santana to qualify. The other wrestler to qualify was Joe Hendry who defeated Jake Something.
Also, Dani Luna and Jody Threat wrestled each other in a Ten-minute Challenge. The two went the distance and the match ended in a draw.
Matt Hardy and his wife, Rebecca Hardy, teamed up together to wrestle Eddie and Alisha Edwards. After a hard-fought battle, The Hardys picked up the win.
