Will Penta El Zero Miedo be the next big name to depart All Elite Wrestling?
The Lucha Bros have been part of All Elite Wrestling since their first Double or Nothing pay-per-view in 2019. However, it appears that the team could potentially be split up in a few months.
According to Lucha Libre Online, Penta El Zero Miedo’s AEW contract is set to expire between August and September of this year. Additionally, there is reportedly interest from WWE in signing the talented luchador.
We at WrestleZone reported in 2020 that the Lucha Bros’ original contracts with AEW expired on August 31, and the duo signed an extension with the company.
With the multiple injuries and visa issues Rey Fenix has dealt with in recent years, it would appear that their deals no longer expire on the same day, similar to what occurred with the Hardys earlier this year.
Update: WrestleZone has since learned more information about Penta’s status with AEW and the trademark on his name. Read more about the situation here.
Stay tuned to WrestleZone for more information on Penta’s contract status with All Elite Wrestling as it becomes available.
