The Miz has made a very bold claim about WrestleMania in his home city, although it came with a caveat.
WrestleMania 41 was recently confirmed to take place in Paradise, Nevada. This followed on from Philadelphia hosting the historic WrestleMania XL event, which saw Cody Rhodes walk out as the new WWE Champion.
However, the Grandaddy of them all has never been hosted in Cleveland, Ohio. This is likely due to the April weather, which averaged a chilly 54.5 degree (F) this year, making it a bit cold to host an outdoor stadium show for the WWE.
This makes The Miz’s guarantee seem a little farfetched. The two-time WWE Champion spoke with 96.5 KISS FM (via Fightful) recently, who asked him about WrestleMania in Cleveland. WWE are set to host Summerslam 2024 at the Cleveland Browns Stadium in Cleveland, and he thinks WrestleMania could come to the city.
However, there is one catch. They would need to build a dome to host it in. The Miz theorized that it was too cold to host WrestleMania in Cleveland in an outdoor arena, so would need the warmth and protection from the elements of a dome to make it viable.
“I would love it, especially if we get a dome. We get a dome, I guarantee we’re going to have WrestleMania in Cleveland. You got to have a dome. You have to get a dome. I know people are like, ‘We’re a cold weather city.’ I’m not a cold weather guy. I’m not. I want a dome.”
Jerry Lawler and Logan Paul both said in the past they want WrestleMania in Cleveland. The Miz was against the idea then, but he was likely just playing the heel on TV. If they build a dome, it’s clear he would love WrestleMania in Cleveland.
