Update: Stephanie Vaquer is coming to AEW has arrived in AEW!
Vaquer confronted new TBS Champion Mercedes Moné after her title defense against Skye Blue on Dynamite.
AEW Dynamite featured a new promo hyping the debut of Stephanie Vaquer. Her debut date was not specified, but the video teased that it might happen sooner than later.
“Primarily competing in CMLL, Stephanie Vaquer now has her sights set on AEW,” it began.
Vaquer is the reigning CMLL Women’s World Champion, and the NJPW Strong Women’s Champion. The voiceover listed Vaquer’s various accomplishments and said that she is “poised to make her AEW debut.”
The voiceover also teased Forbidden Door being on the horizon, asking what we could expect from Stephanie Vaquer.
The 2024 AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door event takes place on Sunday, June 30 at the UBS Arena in Elmont, New York.
