AEW Rampage Results – May 18, 2024
This week’s episode of AEW Rampage kicks off a video package promoting The Young Bucks and The Elite.
Kyle O’Reilly defeated Lee Moriarty (w/ Anthony Ogogo)
- Kyle O’Reilly catches Lee Moriarty with a cross-arm breaker to score the win via submission.
The Acclaimed and Billy Gunn are backstage. Max Caster says their music video last week was about them returning to tag team action, but all of the tag teams in AEW were afraid to face them, so Anthony Bowens will face Brian Cage tonight. Bowens says there is a lot of madness going on in AEW and calls The Acclaimed the foundation of the company. Bowens buries The Embassy for siding with The Elite.
RUSH defeated Cody Chhun
- RUSH hits The Horns on Cody Chhun to score the pinfall victory.
After the match, RUSH continues to beat down Chhun and chokes him out with the green cable at ringside.
Bryan Danielson comes out of the Trainer’s Room backstage. Danielson says FTR won’t be able to make it to Dynamite on Wednesday due to the attack they suffered on Collision, but he will be there and dares The Elite to do their worst, but they best not miss because if they do, they won’t like the consequences.
Deonna Purrazzo defeated Robyn Renegade
- Deonna Purrazzo locks Robyn Renegade in an arm bar to secure the win via submission.
Thunder Rosa appears on AEW Rampage
Following the match, Purrazzo continues to punish Renegade, which brings out Thunder Rosa. Purrazzo escapes through the crowd as Rosa checks on Robyn. But Purrazzo returns and sneaks up on Rosa from behind and attacks her. Purrazzo manages to escape through the crowd once again.
Another video package airs for Scorpio Sky who will be returning to AEW in the near future.
Sonjay Dutt is backstage and says he’s heard The Elite has put a price on Bryan Danielson’s head. Dutt says Danielson will face Satnam Singh next week on Dynamite.
Brian Cage defeated Anthony Bowens (w/ Max Caster and Billy Gunn)
- Brian Cage hits Anthony Bowens with a low blow, followed by the Drill Claw to score the pinfall victory.
Brian Cage celebrates his win as Caster and Gunn check on Bowens as AEW Rampage goes off the air.
