AEW Collision Results – May 11, 2024
This week’s episode of AEW Collision kicks off with some in-ring action as Bryan Danielson and Claudio Castagnoli of Blackpool Combat Club take on Top Flight.
Bryan Danielson and Claudio Castagnoli defeated Top Flight
- Claudio Castagnoli hit Darius Martin with a running uppercut to score the pinfall victory for his team.
Bryan Danielson gets on the microphone after the match and asks the crowd to give Top Flight a round of applause. Danielson says Top Flight is what AEW is all about. Danielson said he heard an AEW chant during this match, and it warmed his heart and got the crowd to chant it again. Bryan admits that the first Anarchy in the Arena almost ended his career, but he’s fighting in this one because he loves AEW.
Danielson says The Young Bucks are part of the formation of AEW, but they don’t represent what AEW has become. Danielson says Tony Khan has been at every AEW show since it started, but The Young Bucks, who want to run the company, aren’t even there. Bryan says he will do anything to protect AEW.
A recap airs from Dynamite that showed The Mogul Embassy turning on Swerve Strickland.
Will Ospreay defeated Lee Moriarty (w/ Shane Taylor)
- Will Ospreay hit Lee Moriarty with Storm Breaker to score the pinfall victory.
After the match, Roderick Strong got up on the apron to argue with Ospreay, which allowed Shane Taylor to attack him from behind. Taylor beat down Ospreay and left, and then The Undisputed Kingdom got in the ring and posed over Ospreay.
Mercedes Moné throws out the first pitch in Boston
Mercedes Moné is shown throwing out the first pitch at Fenway Park for the Boston Red Sox. It’s announced the contract signing for the TBS Championship match at Double or Nothing will take place this Wednesday on Dynamite.
Brian Cage and The Gates of Agony defeated Evan Rivers and the Voros Twins
- This was a quick squash match. Cage scored the pinfall victory for his team.
Tony Schiavone gets in the ring and asks them why they turned on Swerve Strickland. Brian Cage says Swerve and Prince Nana are selfish, and they only care about themselves until they need something. Cage says they are here to work alongside Matthew and Nicholas Jackson.
Swerve Strickland’s music hits, and Cage tries to meet him on the ramp. Strickland comes through the crowd with a chain and takes out The Gates of Agony before Cage can return to the ring. Swerve takes it to all three men, and Cage eventually leaves the rest of the Gates of Agony behind and stands on the stage. Bishop Kaun is chained up by his throat and choked up on the corner turnbuckle outside of the ring.
Toa Liona makes the save for Kaun and gets some offense on Strickland but gets hit with a cinderblock for his troubles. Strickland puts Liona’s head on the steps and smashes it with a chair.
Swerve Strickland is done playing nice on AEW Collision
Swerve Strickland is backstage and says he tried to be a company guy as the new champion, but not anymore. Strickland says he took out Gates of Agony, and all that’s left is Brian Cage. Swerve challenges Cage to a match this Wednesday on Dynamite.
Daniel Garcia defeated Kevin Matthews
- Daniel Garcia locks Kevin Matthews in a Dragon Sleeper to win the match via submission.
A video plays recapping the close of Dynamite when Team AEW was formed to battle with The Elite ahead of Anarchy in the Arena.
Dax Harwood (w/ Cash Wheeler) defeated “Dynamite Kid” Tommy Billington
- Dax Harwood hits Tommy Billington with a powerbomb to score the pinfall victory.
FTR fist-bumps Tommy Billington in a show of respect following the match.

The Fallen Angel Christopher Daniels is backstage. Daniels believes Matthew and Nicholas forget where they came from. He remembers the very beginning, when everyone was there to try and make AEW the best company on the planet, and now The Young Bucks are trying to make it all about themselves.
Christopher Daniels says Matthew and Nicholas are trying to “punish” him by making him pick a partner to face them on Dynamite, and Daniels picks Matt Sydal. Daniels says someone will be punished on Dynamite; it just won’t be who they think it is.
Dax Harwood vs. Kazuchika Okada announced for AEW Dynamite
FTR is backstage. Dax Harwood says he’s never fought in a match as dangerous as Anarch in the Arena. Harwood says it seems FTR are the only guys who work both shows. Harwood challenges Kazuchika Okada to a match this Wednesday on AEW Dynamite.
Thunder Rosa defeated Robyn Renegade
- Thunder Rosa locks Robyn Renegade in a seated Cobra Clutch to win the match via submission.
Johnny TV and Taya Valkyrie are backstage. Taya Valkyrie buries the Vancouver NHL Hockey team. Johnny TV issues a challenge to PAC for later tonight on AEW Rampage. Valkyrie and Taya end up making out.
We hear from HOOK, who says when Chris Jericho first offered to stand by his side, he had hesitations; he told Jericho he knew who he was. HOOK says the things Jericho has done have pissed him off, but none of it surprises him. HOOK says Jericho has no idea what he can be, and he can’t wait to show him.
Adam Copeland defeated Kyle O’Reilly to retain the AEW TNT Championship
- Adam Copeland hits Kyle O’Reilly with a spear to score the pinfall victory.
Medics check on Kyle O’Reilly as AEW Collision goes off the air.
