Recently, Roxanne Perez joined the elite list of WWE Superstars to have held the NXT Women’s Championship twice in their careers. The list includes Shayna Baszler, Charlotte Flair, and now The Prodigy. Perez forced Lyra Valkyria to tap out at the NXT Stand & Deliver Premium Live Event.
Recently, while speaking to Adrian Hernandez, Roxanne Perez reflected on her time in NXT. She mentioned that being a part of the NXT roster has been so much fun. Roxanne Perez also mentioned that she’s been able to learn a lot from WWE legends such as Shawn Michaels, Matt Bloom, and many more.
“It’s [time in NXT] been fun. So, so fun. I think that’s one of the things that I struggled with when I got signed to NXT, is like… I feel like I have the wrestling down. But I think I didn’t have too much time to work on my character or develop that. So being in NXT, and being able to work on that. And being alongside like learning from Shawn Michaels, the greatest of all time. Coach Bloom… All of them. It’s so freaking awesome and exciting. And I’m having a lot of fun,” Perez said.

While speaking in the same interview, the Prodigy mentioned that she is grateful to share the ring with the top stars in the business. She also mentioned that competing in the Royal Rumble for two years in a row while still being in NXT has been cool.
“I didn’t expect the second call. I didn’t expect the first call,” Perez explained. “But to be called again and I’m not even a part of the main roster yet, I think that was so freaking cool and just like… Full circle moment.”
