Roxanne Perez is full of confidence.
“The Prodigy” is set to battle Lyra Valkyria at NXT Stand and Deliver. She is hoping to regain the title she lost last year.
Roxanne Perez was asked by Denise Salcedo about her feelings on the road up to the event. Perez noted that she is full of confidence, and she feels less pressure than she did in her previous title reign.
“Oh my gosh, so many,” Roxanne Perez said. “But most of all, I feel like I have so much more confidence than I did last year, you know? I’ve been talking about this. I came into WWE as a fan. I grew up loving it, so coming in, getting the championship within a few months of being here was a lot of pressure. Especially having that moniker of The Prodigy on my back and looking around, being surrounded by all these people that I looked up to.”
“I think it was definitely a lot of pressure, and I think I kind of let those doubts kind of, like, I kind of listened to them a little more than I should have. And I think now I’m like, I’m throwing all of that away. Like, I know I’m the best. I know that I’m one of the best in this locker room in the WWE. So, um, yeah, I think everybody’s going to see The Prodigy as two-time NXT Women’s Champion tomorrow.”
WrestleZone will have coverage of NXT Stand & Deliver as it airs on April 6.
