Naomi talks about returning to WWE.
After nearly two years away, Naomi made her return to WWE as a surprise entrant in the 30-woman Royal Rumble match in January. She recently appeared on Going Ringside where she noted that she never doubted she would return “home.”
“It’s been a rollercoaster ride, but it’s been a great journey and I’m extremely excited and happy to be back. Working my way back to the top,” Naomi said. “WWE is home. It was never a doubt about returning. It was just a matter of when and me wanting to prove some things and do some things that I needed to do for myself. I did that. I accomplished that. It was just time. I missed it so much. WWE is always family.”
While away from WWE, Naomi competed as Trinity in TNA/IMPACT Wrestling. She was able to dethrone Deonna Purrazzo for the TNA Knockouts World Championship last July and eventually lost it to Jordynne Grace in January just weeks before her Royal Rumble return.
Naomi is slated to team with Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill at WrestleMania 40 as they battle Damage CTRL.
