Ortiz has been sidelined with an injury, and he will miss some time after he gets surgery.
Ortiz last wrestled on the January 20 episode of AEW Collision. There, he and Eddie Kingston lost to Bryan Danielson and Claudio Castagnoli. He has been absent from AEW programming ever since.
Isiah Kassidy posted a new vlog, and in one highlight, he asked Ortiz for an update.
“I’m injured, man. Yeah, I’m injured,” Ortiz said. “I’m about to get surgery in two weeks. [Kassidy asks him how the injury happened.] It was just from a clothesline. I tore a pec. I tore my pec from a clothesline. It’s because I’m too jacked. I was so jacked that my tendons couldn’t keep up. Two weeks, four-month recovery time, and then I’ll be back. More jacked with a mullet and a mustache.”
