Logan Paul Claims He Turned Down Fight With Mike Tyson

WWE United States Champion Logan Paul claims that he opted not to fight Mike Tyson after it was announced that his brother Jake Paul would face the legend.

Jake Paul will face Mike Tyson, one of the most legendary boxers of all time, on July 20, 2024. The bout will stream on Netflix, and the combat sports world has been buzzing about the showdown. Logan Paul has competed in several boxing matches, and he famously faced Floyd Mayweather in an exhibition match in 2021. He also defeated Dillon Danis vis disqualification in 2023.

Speaking on IMPAULSIVE, Logan Paul commented on the news that Jake will face Mike Tyson and stated that he turned down fighting “Iron Mike” himself.

“I said no to fighting Mike Tyson,” Logan Paul said. “I was offered it, but not on Netflix and not for a big a** bag. I’ve been asked, ‘Do you think you could beat Mike Tyson?’ My answer is yes. I just think he’s too old, it’s crazy. He’s senile.”

Jake Paul Dismisses Logan Paul’s Claim

On a Kick stream, Logan’s brother Jake Paul responded to the claim and stated that it was not true. He noted that his team brought the deal to Mike Tyson after they landed a deal with Netflix.

“It is not true. We are the ones that brought the deal to Mike Tyson. My team struck a deal with Netflix, and then went to other fighters to get them involved. It started with Tommy Fury but he wanted more money. Then we went to Mike Tyson, and after months of talking we got him to fight.

“Mike Tyson wasn’t offering people deals, I don’t know why he is saying that. We were the ones offering the deal.” (H/t Ben Davies of talkSPORT for the quotes in this article)

Meanwhile, Logan Paul has been making moves outside of the boxing world. His PRIME energy drink landed a major deal to be WWE’s first center ring sponsor. Paul has also partnered with the Los Angeles Lakers, as PRIME is now their official energy drink.
