Major League Wrestling has announced the return of Raven to the ring for their next MLW War Chamber event.
The company will host the War Chamber super card event on March 29, 2024. It will take place at The Coliseum in St Petersburg, Florida, with some huge matches already announced. The show will be broadcast on a later date on beIN SPORTS, and will see not one, but two of the titular match stipulations on the show.
This includes the first match back for ECW legend Raven. The former WWE, WCW and ECW wrestler returned to the company at Superfight 4 last month, aligning himself in his battle against The Calling. He appeared later at the most recent MLW event, challenging The Calling with a new group called “The Response”.
Raven challenged them to a War Chamber match at the event of the same name, due to take place at the end of the month.
MLW today announced a War Chamber match: The Calling (Sami Callihan, Rickey Shane Page, Cannonball & Talon) vs AKIRA, Raven, Jimmy Lloyd & Jake Crist.
This is the second War Chamber match announced for the show. The other pits Team MLW (Satoshi Kojima, Shigeo Okumura, Matthew Justice and 1 Called Manders) against World Titan Federation (Tom Lawlor, Davey Boy Smith Jr., Richard Holliday, and Josh Bishop).
Raven Returns To Wrestle In MLW For The First Time Since 2023
His return to the ring will be Raven’s first match in the promotion since 2023. He last fought for MLW at Battle Riot V, taking part in a 40-man Battle Riot match.
He returned at the most recent MLW show, revealing the name of his new faction and sending a warning to The Calling, whom he formerly led.
“Silence. Cease your inane chattering. The civil war for Carcosa has begun, but I can assure you that it will be anything but civil,” Raven said. “You think you can play when daddy’s away? Well, Daddy has come home, and the pain will follow. So it is written, and shall come to pass. Quote the Raven – wait a minute. Before I end this, you want to steal the name? You want to hijack the name ‘The Calling’? Call me and my faction ‘The Response’, and our response will be nothing but deadly. Quote the Raven, ‘Nevermore’.
The matches on the card for MLW War Chamber 2024 currently announced include:
