IMPACT Wrestling rebranded back to the TNA Wrestling banner at the promotion’s first pay-per-view of 2024. It was the Hard To Kill pay-per-view. One of the highlights of the show was the Knockouts World Tag Team Title match. The champions Killer Kelly and Masha Slamovich were set to defend their titles against a mystery team.
The team that challenged MK Ultra was revealed to be the returning Havok and Rosemary, who call themselves Decay. During her recent interview with Lucha Libre Online, Killer Kelly mentioned that the sole reason that MK Ultra lost the match was because they were caught by surprise and did not prepare for this match.
“No that was definitely the reason [the surprise appearance of Decay.] Because, first off, we didn’t expect to have a match. And then we didn’t expect Decay to come back from the Undead Realm. We had absolutely no idea. So we were a little bit shaken to the core on that one. But you know what, a loss is just an opportunity to learn. And MK Ultra learns from their mistakes. And we will definitely recapture those titles. Because, come on now, those red straps, look perfect on MK Ultra. We will get those titles back,” Killer Kelly said.
Killer Kelly on viral moment at the Hard To Kill pay-per-view
While speaking on the same interview, Kelly mentioned that she was caught by surprise when her mind games did not work. She was pushed from the top rope and revealed that she almost broke both her knees.
“As you can see by my face, I wasn’t expecting that at all. That was crazy. I was like, Okay. I’m going to do my… You know… My Killer Kelly thing. Get into people’s heads.’ And she was just like, ‘Hell no. Nothing affects me.’ And then she did that as you could see. I almost broke my knees. I was all the way back to the mat. It was crazy and I also didn’t expect it to go viral as it did. I checked yesterday and of course, Nic Nemeth’s surprise debut got over a million views. But the second most watched video was that with more than half a million. It is crazy.”
