Paul Heyman addresses two notable people.
During the January 5 episode of WWE SmackDown, Paul Heyman appeared in a backstage segment to address The Rock calling out Roman Reigns on WWE RAW Day 1.
Heyman stated that if The Rock wants to sit at the head of the table, he must first be invited to a dinner of relevancy first. However, Rock won’t be. Heyman believes Rock is just looking for a shortcut to the headlines as there are two ways to go viral — date Taylor Swift or call out Roman Reigns.
Heyman also commentated on CM Punk’s WWE return after a decade away by welcoming him back before noting he has since upgraded from an advocate for special counsel. Ultimately, he stands firm that there’s not one man who can beat Roman Reigns.
As noted, The Rock returned to RAW on January 1 and teased sitting at the head of the table, seemingly calling out Roman Reigns for their awaited singles match that fans have clamored for for years. There’s no word yet on if The Rock is officially returning to the ring soon.
