Maxxine Dupri is one of the rising stars in WWE. She began her run in NXT with Robert Stone trying to recruit her into the Robert Stone brand. Then she made it to the main roster as the manager of Mace and Mansoor as the Maxximum Male Models. Now, the 26-year-old superstar is part of Alpha Academy.
Fans got to see Maxxine Dupri’s in-ring debut in 2023. She won her first two matches on Monday Night Raw but since then she has been taking losses on the Red Brand. Her most recent match was against the WWE Women’s World Champion, Rhea Ripley.
During a recent interview with Joe Vulpis on Lightweights, Dupri mentioned that her goal for 2024 is to keep on training and get better in the ring just so she can compete more inside the squared circle.
“For this next year, I really want to improve more in-ring. I’m excited to keep training in that respect. Also, I want to compete more in the ring. I’m excited for that,” Maxxine Dupri said. [H/T Fightful.com]
Failure is not an option for Maxxine Dupri as she is looking forward to having more matches in WWE
Earlier this year, Dupri was interviewed by Wrestlezone Managing Editor Bill Pritchard. During the interview, Dupri talked about wanting to wrestle more in WWE.
“People are like, ‘Are you going to do another one?’ Like of course I am! Hello, I didn’t just train to do one. That’s a lot of training to do one match, so there’s more coming and I’m excited for that journey.”
She also mentioned that no matter how deep in the ocean she’s tossed into, she is willing to swim to the top.
“Honestly, I think my whole life I’ve been thrown into ‘sink or swim’ situations. Maybe I just radiate that energy. But I’m always tossed in the deep end and I’m going to swim. I will not allow myself to sink and I’m going to fight and fight and fight. I will go out clawing if I have to.
“I’m not going to allow myself to go out and completely fail. I think ‘fail’ is a strong word because I am going to make mistakes, I’m learning. Everyone is going to make mistakes. And hello, we’re doing live TV, a whole live fight,” she noted, “so mistakes are going to happen. But I don’t consider that failure and I won’t let myself have a ‘failure’ moment because this is what I want to do. This is my dream and I’m going to go out there and swim.”
