One of the veterans in the wrestling business is Scotty 2 Hotty. He made a name for himself in WWE. The former WWE Tag Team Champion is most famous for his signature move The Worm. He was also part of a popular faction in the Stamford-based promotion. It was a team with Grand Master Sexay and Rikishi. They called themselves Too Cool.
There were a few rumors that Scotty 2 Hotty was working as a producer for All Elite Wrestling. During an interview with Wrestling With Johners, the former WWE Superstar addressed these rumors. He confirmed that he was indeed working as a backstage Producer for the Jacksonville-based promotion.
“I don’t think it’s a huge secret that I’ve been working for AEW as a producer behind the scenes, as a coach and producer there. I have an opportunity to do more with them, on a regular basis. It looks like at the beginning of the year, I’ll be going pretty hard with them if everything works out the way I hope it does,” Scotty 2 Hotty said. [H/T Fightful.com]
While he is currently a producer for All Elite Wrestling, this past Wednesday night, he got the opportunity to wrestle in a dark match before Dynamite aired. Following the match, the former WWE Superstar took to Twitter to claim that the match was a personal career highlight for him because he got to wrestle in front of his kids and family.
“Last night I was able to do this in an arena with my kids in the audience for the first time that they are old enough to remember it. Thank you to @RealBillyGunn & @TonyKhan for making this happen. A personal career highlight for me,” Scotty 2 Hotty tweeted.
