Tyler Bate is going to WWE NXT Deadline.
The December 5 episode of WWE NXT saw Carmelo Hayes, Eddy Thorpe, Tyler Bate, and Joe Coffey compete in a four-way last chance qualifying match to determine who would be the fifth man to take part in this Saturday’s Iron Survivor Challenge match.
Early on, Hayes, Bate, and Thorpe worked to get Coffey out of the ring. While he was temporarily removed from the mix, Coffey later returned and delivered a devastating spinebuster to Thorpe on the steel steps.
Coffey was able to double-team Hayes and Bate for a beat until they turned the tables on him with a combo counter. In the end, Bate planted Coffey with the Tyler Driver 97 to secure the pinfall victory.
As a result, Bate will now compete in his first Iron Survivor Challenge match this Saturday for a shot at becoming the new number one contender to the NXT Championship.
Below is the updated NXT Deadline card:
- NXT Championship: Ilja Dragunov (c) vs. Baron Corbin
- NXT North American Championship: Dominik Mysterio (c) vs. Dragon Lee
- Men’s Iron Survivor Challenge Match: Dijak vs. Trick Williams vs. Josh Briggs vs. Bron Breakker vs. Tyler Bate
- Women’s Iron Survivor Challenge Match: Tiffany Stratton vs. Lash Legend vs. Blair Davenport vs. Kelani Jordan vs. Fallon Henley
- Steel Cage Match: Roxanne Perez vs. Kelani Jordan
WrestleZone will have complete coverage of NXT Deadline as it airs this Saturday.
