Bryan Danielson is wrapping up his career as a full-time wrestler, but he teases that he could see himself in the ring years from now.
As previously announced, Bryan Danielson is in the midst of his last year as a full-time wrestler. He returned to the ring on the December 2 episode of AEW Collision, and he is currently competing in the AEW Continental Classic.
Speaking on Maggie & Perloff, Ric Flair came up in the conversation, and Bryan Danielson was asked whether he could see himself performing when he’s 74.
“I could picture myself out there,” Bryan Danielson said. “When I say this is my last year as a full-time wrestler. I don’t envision ever stopping. I think Ric Flair sees it the same way. It’s such an incredible experience to go out there and do it.
“I’m getting to the point where I think, okay, my body’s breaking down a little bit, I can’t do it full-time at the level that I would like to. But I would still like to get out there every once in a while and just do it. It’s one of my life’s passions. It makes me feel alive. So yeah, I could see myself still out here at 74, like ‘Ahh, come on’ [laughs].”
Bryan Danielson is set to compete on the December 9 episode of AEW Collision. WrestleZone will have coverage of the show as it airs on Saturday.
