The feud between KENTA and CM Punk continues.
At WWE Survivor Series, CM Punk made his shocking return to the company, as he appeared in the closing moments of the show. Punk then appeared on the November 27 episode of WWE RAW and cut a promo in which he discussed his return. He memorably said, “I’m home”, and the promo sparked some buzz, given Punk’s infamous comments about WWE in the past.
At the West Coast Pro Monster event on December 2, KENTA grabbed a microphone and mocked Punk. He said he only wanted to say one thing, which turned out to be, “I’m home.”
KENTA and Punk have been bitter rivals over the years, as they have feuded over the GTS finisher. KENTA has said that Punk “stole” the move from him. A match between the two stars was reportedly a possibility at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2023, but it did not become a reality. AEW later terminated Punk on September 2 in the aftermath of his involvement in a backstage incident at AEW All In.
