Chris Sabin Shares His Honest Thoughts on Tag Team Wrestling

IMPACT Wrestling, soon to be rebranded back to TNA Wrestling has groomed and helped several talent to become amazing professional wrestlers. Current X Division Champion Chris Sabin is one such star.

Apart from holding the TNA X Division Championship for a record ten times, he has also captured to TNA World Heavyweight Championship. Not only that, but he also has a good record in the tag team division. Chris Sabin along with Alex Shelly has captured the TNA World Tag Team Championship three times.

Recently, the ten-time TNA X Division Champion was interviewed on the Battleground Podcast. He was asked about what is the difference between being a singles and a tag team wrestler.

“Well, I think the biggest difference is that you don’t have someone watching your back at the time of the match. Right? When you’re in a tag team match, your partner is there and for… unless he’s hurt or something you know, you can rely on your partner having your back. And helping out in situations where you might need it. In a singles match, you don’t have that. It’s all you. It’s all on just you. So I mean, that’s like the biggest difference. And just… Uh… You know, you got to have a different mindset. A mindset that no one’s going to be out there helping me and I got to do this all on my own. So… But I do enjoy both. I enjoy tag team wrestling and singles wrestling. They are both very enjoyable to me,” Chris Sabin said.

Sabin last successfully defended his championship against Frankie Kazarian.

Do you like Sabin better as a singles wrestler or do you prefer him in the tag team division with Alex Shelly?
