Last night on Monday Night Raw, former two-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion Drew McIntyre turned heel. Well, it certainly seemed to be inevitable, especially after he lost against Seth Rollins at the Crown Jewel Premium Live Event. After last night’s episode of WWE Raw, the Scottish Warrior broke his silence.
The main event of this week’s episode of the Red Brand featured The Judgment Day’s Damian Priest and Finn Balor battling the team of Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso. The match was not an ordinary tag team match, the Judgment Day put their Undisputed Tag Team Championships on the line as well.
Earlier in the night, Adam Pearce made the announcement that the rest of the Judgment Day, Seth Rollins, and Sami Zayn were all banned from the arena to ensure that the title match has no interferences and the fans will get to see a clean and fair fight.
But that was not what happened. For the majority of the match it was indeed a fair fight. Both teams gave everything they had and ensured that they stayed alive in the match. Towards the end, it seemed like The American Nightmare and Mr. Main Event Jey Uso were going to get the win and re-claim the championship gold ahead of Survivor Series War Games. But a former tag team champion had other ideas. It was none other than the Scottish Warrior Drew McIntyre.
As Mr. Main Event was recovering at ringside, McIntyre showed up and hit a Claymore on Jey Uso and chucked him back into the ring. This allowed Balor to get the pin and retain the titles. Following that, McIntyre took to Twitter to claim that he’s finally home.
“Daddy’s home. #WWERaw,” Drew McIntyre tweeted.
