AEW Dynamite Viewership Decreases On 11/8, Demo Also Drops

AEW Dynamite viewership decreased on November 8.

According to Wrestlenomics, 804,000 viewers watched the show on Wednesday night, and it drew a 0.27 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic. The viewership is down from last week’s episode, when 832,000 viewers tuned in last week. The demo also dropped from last week‘s episode, which drew a 0.28 rating in the same demographic.

Despite the decrease in viewership, AEW Dynamite remained the number-five show on sports cable for Wednesday night. Dynamite was defeated by ESPN’s coverage of multiple NBA games.

What happened on AEW Dynamite this week?

This week’s show kicked off with MJF defeating Daniel Garcia to retain the AEW World Championship.

Elsewhere on the show, Samoa Joe defeated Keith Lee to retain the Ring of Honor World Television Championship. Following the match, Joe vacates the championship to chase the AEW World Title. Swerve Strickland defeated Penta El Zero Miedo and was attacked by Hangman Page following the match.

Mariah May also debuted as the latest signee to the AEW Women’s division.

In the main event of the show, Jay White defeated Mark Briscoe to keep his title shot against MJF at Full Gear. Following the match, MJF once again failed to get his title back from White. Meanwhile backstage, The Acclaimed were attacked backstage by The Devil’s four masked henchmen.
