Nick Aldis has officially signed with WWE, according to a new report.
On the October 13 episode of WWE SmackDown, Triple H revealed that Adam Pearce had been promoted to the General Manager of RAW. Nick Aldis then made his debut as he was named the new General Manager of WWE SmackDown.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful (via Fightful Select) reports that Nick Aldis has officially signed with WWE, so he is no longer a free agent.
Aldis started working with WWE as a producer on a trial basis in August. Following his debut, it seems like he will be involved more in an on-screen capacity moving forward. As of this writing, it is unclear whether he will continue to work as a producer as well. Per Sapp, Adam Pearce has worked both as a producer and an on-screen talent for years.
Sapp also cited sources who noted that Aldis has been easy to work with. Others stated that he was eager to make the most of the opportunity in any role he was given.
Aldis is a two-time NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion. He announced that he was leaving the company at the end of 2022. Aldis then returned to IMPACT Wrestling and had a brief run there through Slammiversary weekend.
