Fans looking forward to a reunion of The North (Josh Alexander and Ethan Page) shouldn’t get their hopes up.
During a recent interview with Sportskeeda WrestleBinge, Josh Alexander was asked to comment on a potential reunion with former tag team partner Ethan Page. The Walking Weapon had a pretty straightforward response in regards to potentially reuniting with his former partner.
“I don’t know. We kind of play in separate sandboxes, and we don’t have much of a relationship anymore because of that (laughs). I’m really not focusing on anything tag team wrestling. If I were to tag with anybody, honestly, I don’t think Ethan Page would be my first pick right now because there’s so many people in IMPACT Wrestling,” Alexander said.
He continued, “I mean it’s tough to say now going into Bound for Glory, but I think I’d have to pick Alex Shelley as my partner even though he has a long storied history with the Motor City Machine Guns. I just think that the blend together would be nice. Well, If I had to be pick anybody else it’d be Mike Bailey just for the Canadian Connection. Hopefully we can bring back Team Canada 2.0 one day.”
Originally called Monster Mafia, Josh Alexander and Ethan Page reunited in IMPACT Wrestling as The North in 2019. The pair feuded with the likes of The Rascalz and LAX, whom they beat for the IMPACT World Tag Team Championship at the July 5 Bash at the Brewery event. They would drop the titles to The Motor City Machine Guns after a year-long title reign on the July 21, 2020, episode of IMPACT Wrestling before regaining the straps at Bound for Glory.
The North disbanded following Ethan Page’s departure from IMPACT Wrestling for AEW in 2021.
