Anthony Bowens says he’s got a direct hand in creating some of The Acclaimed’s merchandise.
Bowens spoke with Baby Huey for the In The Kliq podcast, where he was asked if The Acclaimed has a say in their merchandise.
“Yeah, so we do create a lot of the stuff that comes out,” Anthony Bowens confirmed. “Then we also have an awesome design team over at Pro Wrestling Tees that will design some stuff and send it over to us. We’ll either make some adjustments to it or give the final approval, and then it comes out. But the title belt was my idea,” Bowens said.
“A couple of months ago, I sent out a ridiculous design to the front office,” he added. “And they ran with it, and they created those beautiful custom titles.”
The title belt is the “scissoring” pink strapped Trios titles that The Acclaimed wears on TV. ShopAEW created a TV-ready copy (not a fan replica) that retails for $4,999. Ten of the belts were produced; six have been sold so far.
Bowens also promoted The Acclaimed’s newest t-shirt that supports the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
“And actually, we do have a brand new piece of merch that just dropped yesterday, and it’s a special one. It’s a shirt called A Cure Worth Scissoring For. It is October; it is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. And this particular t-shirt, 100% of the royalties will go to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. So it’s for a very, very good cause, and you can pick that up at ShopAEW.com.”
