The National Wrestling Alliance is returning to Sarasota, Florida, for an upcoming taping of NWA Powerrr.
The NWA announced that they will hold the “Return to Robarts” taping of NWA Powerrr on November 18. The show will emanate from Robarts Arena in Sarasota, Florida. Tickets and more information are available here.
The press release noted that the NWA Powerrr taping will mark NWA’s return to Florida for the first time in over 35 years. The show will also pay homage to Championship Wrestling from Florida. CWFH previously held shows at Robarts Arena from 1967 to 1987.
Likewise, NWA noted that the taping will recognize the career of Austin Idol. A special guest with “deep ties to Florida wrestling” will present a tribute to celebrate Idol’s legendary career.
Billy Corgan Comments On ‘Return To Robarts’ NWA Powerrr Taping
In the press release, NWA President William Patrick Corgan commented on the company’s return to Florida.
“Returning to Robarts Arena is a special moment for the National Wrestling Alliance,” Corgan said. “This building holds a rich tapestry of wrestling history, and we are thrilled to bring the NWA back to where legends were made. Our commitment to being the stalwart soul of professional wrestling continues, and this event is a celebration of the sport’s enduring legacy.”
