Bully Ray believes that IMPACT Wrestling should bring in CM Punk.
AEW released the former AEW World Champion after he was involved in a backstage confrontation with Jack Perry at AEW All In. Puk’s exit brought his turbulent AEW run to a close; his time in the company was full of controversy, including the “Brawl Out” incident in 2022.
Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Bully Ray emphasized his belief that IMPACT should hire CM Punk. (H/t Ross W Berman IV of Wrestling Inc. for the transcription)
“1000% I’d hire him,” he stated emphatically. “I think Punk needs to be in an environment that he is completely comfortable in and I know for a fact he was not completely comfortable in the WWE and then whatever went down in AEW.” By Bully Ray’s estimation, Punk is a valuable asset to all of professional wrestling. If you were to put CM Punk in Impact Wrestling, Impact’s stock would go up.”
Ray also noted that he didn’t think Punk had any issues with members of the IMPACT locker room. He also pointed out that Punk visited an IMPACT TV taping in Chicago to visit friends earlier this year.
Bully Ray: CM Punk And IMPACT Could Do Great Business Together
Bully Ray continued by noting that CM Punk and IMPACT could do great business together. He briefly commented on how Punk could spark more interest in the product,
“I think that Impact and Punk could do some great business together and bring some eyes to the product,” Bully Ray said.
