Kenny Omega and Chris Jericho will join forces in a grudge match at AEW WrestleDream.
On the September 22 episode of AEW Rampage, which marked the Grand Slam special, Omega made his return. He had been absent since he lost to Konosuke Takeshita at AEW All Out. However, he made the save when Takeshita, Sammy Guevara, and Don Callis ganged up on the veteran.
Jericho then approached Omega backstage and pitched a tag team match for AEW WrestleDream, where they would face the Don Callis Family. AEW subsequently confirmed that Omega and Jericho will team up with Kota Ibushi to face the Don Callis Family. The third member of the latter trio was not confirmed, but Will Ospreay previously aligned with Callis.
Guevara turned on Jericho and aligned with Callis on AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam. Callis confirmed that Guevara was the newest member of the Don Callis Family on Friday.
Callis previously named Ibushi as his next target in his quest to destroy Omega on the September 12 episode of AEW Dynamite.
