Pro Wrestling Illustrated revealed its annual list of top 500 professional wrestlers. The list featured top stars from multiple promotions. Topping the list was none other than Seth Rollins.
The WWE World Heavyweight Champion ranked at number one, and following him was the Undisputed Universal Champion Roman Reigns. The third position was AEW International Champion Jon Moxley.
Interestingly the three stars are the ones who were once part of the infamous faction S.H.I.E.L.D. The trio dominated WWE over a decade ago. They held the Intercontinental, United States, and the Tag Team Championships.
The S.H.I.E.L.D. went their separate ways a couple of years ago. WWE also held a special event for the faction’s final reunion. Currently, Seth Rollins is on Raw and is the World Heavyweight Champion. Roman Reigns on the other hand is on SmackDown. The Tribal Chief has been the Undisputed Universal Champion for almost three years. Jon Moxley left the Stamford-based promotion and signed with AEW.
Recently, at the AEW All Out pay-per-view, the Lunatic Fringe defeated Orange Cassidy to become the new AEW International Champion. Moxley will be putting his title on the line this upcoming Wednesday at the AEW Dynamite Grandslam special edition.
After the list of PWI’s top 500 wrestlers of 2023 was released, The Visionary took to Twitter to share a heartfelt tribute to his fellow S.H.I.E.L.D. members by posting a picture emphasizing their signature fist bump.
The Visionary recently teamed up with John Cena in India at the Superstar Spectacle special event. They defeated Imperium (Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci). This was also the first time Cena wrestled in India.
