This past week on WWE NXT, Becky Lynch made history by winning the NXT Women’s Championship. It was the very first time in her career that she captured the title. This led to one of The Man’s biggest rivals Bayley taking a subtle (and playful) shot at her on social media.
Now, Big Time Becks has responded.
Lynch along with Charlotte Flair, Sasha Banks (a.k.a Mercedes Moné), and Bayley all started their WWE careers in NXT. The Queen, The Boss, and The Hugger all managed to capture the NXT Women’s Championship on multiple occasions while The Man never got the opportunity to capture the coveted title.
Thus, her capturing the championship after a decade in the Stamford-based promotion felt extra special for her. But Bayley did not think so. She took a shot at Lynch for taking a long time to win the top women’s title on NXT.
“Took @BeckyLynchWWE long enough #WWENXT,” Bayley initially tweeted.
Big Time Becks had a savage response to the leader of Damage CTRL. Lynch mentioned that it took her sooner than it is taking Bayley to main event a WrestleMania.
“Less time than it’s taken you to main event WrestleMania,” Becky Lynch tweeted.
It is to be noted that The Man was part of the first-ever women’s match that main evented WrestleMania. It was a Triple Threat match for both the Raw and SmackDown Women’s Championships. The other two superstars involved in the match were Charlotte Flair and The Baddest Women on the Planet Ronda Rousey.
The Man also won the match. By winning that match she created history by becoming the first female star to win the main event of WrestleMania.
