One of the top stars in IMPACT Wrestling is Jordynne Grace. She recently spoke out in support of one of her fellow wrestlers Alisha Edwards.
A few weeks ago, Alisha Edwards won a Battle Royale to earn an opportunity to challenge Trinity for the IMPACT Wrestling’s Knockouts Championship. The two wrestled each other at Victory Road.
Jordynne Grace shared a video of her celebrating Alisha Edwards earning a shot at Trinity’s championship along with a bunch of other IMPACT talent. A fan replied by saying that this was such a wholesome moment. The fan also added that a few people were claiming that Edwards does not deserve the title opportunity.
“There were a couple of grown a** adults online last week being grumpy about Alisha getting this title opportunity. If you’re old enough to understand Kayfabe, then you’re old enough to understand THIS is what’s actually happening, and it’s f*cking awesome to see! I love this!” the fan tweeted.
Grace took note of this tweet and said that the reason for Edwards to get the opportunity was her hard work and her loyalty towards the business.
“People are awful. Hard work and loyalty deserve to be rewarded and celebrated,” Jordynne Grace replied.
A Cherished Moment
Edwards ended up commenting on the video, writing the following on Twitter:
“A moment I’ll cherish forever. I’m beyond grateful for all the women that I share a locker room with and couldn’t be more proud to be a KNOCKOUT,” she wrote.
Leading to the pay-per-view, both Edwards and Trinity had a face-to-face on IMPACT Wrestling TV. They officially signed the contract. As the two sat down, things quickly got heated. The former WWE Superstar had some strong words for Alisha’s husband Eddie Edwards. This resulted in Eddie slamming Trinity through the table.
The Victory Road pay-per-view took place this past Friday night, September 8th. Alisha Edwards put on a tough fight but was unable to capture the title.
