Nia Jax has made her shocking return to WWE.
The September 11 episode of WWE RAW was headlined by Raquel Rodriguez challenging Rhea Ripley for the WWE Women’s World Championship. After several minutes of thrilling action, Nia Jax blindsided Rodriguez and attacked her at ringside. In doing so, she helped Ripley beat Rodriguez and retain the gold.
Jax proceeded to lay Ripley out after the bell, proving that she wasn’t on the champion’s side either.
Monday marked Jax’s first appearance in a WWE ring since her return at WWE Royal Rumble 2023. Jax, a former RAW Women’s Champion, was released in a series of cuts in November 2021.

Details On Nia Jax’s Return To WWE
PWInsider.com first reported there were talks about Nia Jax’s return on August 7. According to that report, Jax was not seen at WWE TV, but multiple sources mentioned her name coming up “as of late.”
Following Nia Jax’s appearance on Monday, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reported more information.
Sapp previously reported that there had been word of Jax’s looming return, and she has been signed for over a month. The report noted that WWE’s hiring freeze effectively ended this summer and Nia Jax was the first signing the company made and put on TV since Vince McMahon returned in January. Some sources thought that Jax would return sooner, per Sapp.
