The Dudley Boyz (Bubba Ray and D-Von Dudley) have reportedly signed new deals with WWE.
Per Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, Bubba (also known as Bully Ray) and D-Von recently signed Legends contracts with the company. Bully Ray has been featured on IMPACT Wrestling programming in recent months. He and D-Von will reunite at IMPACT 1000 on September 9. It’s unclear whether the Legends contract will have any impact on Bully’s work in IMPACT.
Bubba and D-Von are one of the most decorated tag teams of all time; the WWE Hall of Famers have won titles 24 times throughout the wrestling world.
The Dudley Boyz Reflect On Their Legacy
Speaking with Barrasso, The Dudley Boyz commented on their legacy. D-Von referenced the other great teams that came before them. He then stated that the duo became the greatest tag team of their era.
“Before us, there were a lot of great teams, too,”D-Von Dudley said. “There was the Rock ‘N’ Roll Express, Terry ‘Bam Bam’ Gordy and ‘Dr. Death’ Steve Williams, the Midnight Express, the Hart Foundation, the British Bulldogs, and the Road Warriors, who we idolized. That was all a different era. During the ‘Attitude Era’, we became, hands down, the greatest tag team of our era.”
Bubba shared his belief that they are still the best tag team on the planet, bar none.
“As long as there is breath in our lungs, we are still the greatest tag team on the planet today,” Bubba Ray said. “No one else comes close.”
