Vinny Pacifico is packing quite a powerful punch these days.
WrestleZone recently spoke with Vinny Pacifico, who recently made his debut for New Japan Pro-Wrestling at the All-Star Junior Festival in Philadelphia. Pacifico faced off with Monster Factory‘s Goldy, and called the event the highlight of his career so far.
“Oh, my God. I can’t even begin to say. That was probably the best night of my career, hands down. The people I was around, the amount I learned,” he explained. “Just the wealth of knowledge that was backstage of that show was just unexplainable. And I’m very lucky to have that opportunity. Wow. I just don’t know where to begin.”
Pacifico made an appearance on the Kurt Angle Show and got a new endorsement deal with G Fuel. He says the New Japan appearance came out of nowhere, but it’s been a great experience.
“I had no idea of anything. [New Japan] just hit me up and said, ‘Hey, Vinny, are you available this day?’ I said, ‘Yes, I am.’ And that was that,” he said. “I don’t know if it correlated, but the timing of everything all together was just so beautiful. And then G Fuel signing me to a contract with their energy drink brand was just crazy to just happen all at once.”
G Fuel
Pacifico had a deal with BANG Energy earlier this year, and now moved on to a new sponsorship with G Fuel. He already sees the benefits of working with G Fuel, noting how the company has been very supportive in showing his social media content.
“I’ll be honest, they are a lot more invested in my career, what I do. They also share my stuff, which is pretty cool. I feel like it goes hand in hand with sponsorship,” Pacifico explained. “But none of my other sponsors has done that before and their brand is so big.”
“On Instagram, they literally just clipped up my New Japan spot. I did a spot with New Japan in the match where I got the drink, drink it and hooked up and hit my comeback,” said Pacifico. “It blew up my Instagram. My Instagram is still getting likes and comments like to this day. They have such a huge brand of just different fans like superhero fans, anime fans, sport fans, wrestling fans. There’s so much different fandoms in that one brand of G Fuel. It’s just so cool how all of that comes together.”
Brand Recognition
Pacifico was asked if he’s pitched getting his own G Fuel can or flavor.
“It has been discussed as a possibility down the line. It’s more of just, like this is a new thing they’re going with. They haven’t really done wrestling much. So this is something new for them and I hope I’m doing a good job so far. I do these promos,” he explained, “and G Fuel really enjoys them.
“As I grow, and I grow my brands and just wherever I go wrestling, whether it’s like New Japan, AEW, ROH, IMPACT, any company I work for and my name just grows and grows,” he noted, “I think G Fuel will be more inclined to give me my own drink because they see growth. I think that’s very important to any brand that has somebody sponsored on their team.”
Pacifico has plenty of things in the works, including potentially filming a commercial for G Fuel.
“There’s some more stuff going on. Some things I can’t mention, but one thing I can mention is G Fuel and I are in talks to do a possible commercial. That’s just something that I would love. That’s crazy,” Pacifico said, highlighting some of his upcoming appearances. “It’s a very busy month and I got to plan a bachelor party too. It’s a lot of busy stuff going on. And hey, I think busy is good. I like being busy.”
