Logan Paul says he could be the face of WWE if he wanted to.
Paul has been a part-time star since he made his WWE in-ring debut at WrestleMania 38. He has competed at multiple live events in 2022 and 2023, but he does not appear on every show. However, he remains confident that he would be “the guy” if he wanted to.
Speaking with Stephen A. Smith on The Stephen A. Smith Show, Paul was asked to describe what he thinks his legitimate shot of being the caliber of a top WWE star is.
“I love this question because that’s where my head is at,” Paul said. “That’s where my head always goes when I enter any new vertical. I’m not here to take part, I’m here to take over. It’s my DNA, it’s how I’m wired. I was the last superstar that Vince McMahon signed.
“After my first match, he came to me backstage, he said, ‘Your future is here.’ I understand the weight of those words coming from him. So to be honest with you, if I wanted to be the face of the WWE and if I wanted to give this industry my all, I could. I know I could. It’s just a decision I have to make. It’s a flip I have to switch.
Smith responded by asking Paul how soon he thinks he’ll make that decision. “The Maverick” admitted that he didn’t know. He also stated that it was up to the fans as well.
“I don’t know. It’s also up to the fans,” Paul said. “Do they resonate with me? They might think I come in there and don’t like my arrogant and cocky, conceited nature, and might think I’m the outsider forever, even though I’m actually doing five PLEs a year. I got some convincing to do. But I’m there in my head. If I wanted to be WWE Champion, I can do it.”
In the same interview, Paul discussed being a heel. Click here to see what he had to say.
