The recently announced injury to Lio Rush isn’t as serious as many believed it to be.
It was announced by Game Changer Wrestling yesterday that Rush was injured and would be unable to attend their upcoming event on August 4.
In a positive update from Nick Hausman of Haus of Wrestling, Rush’s current injury is deemed “not serious.” And will only result in him being out of action for one month.
Lio Rush last competed at the MCW Shane Shamrock Memorial Cup XXII last weekend. Rush defeated Myles Hawkins. Many believe whatever the injury took place during this match.
Lio Rush is the IMPACT Wrestling X-Division Champion
This news must come as a huge relief to IMPACT Wrestling, who just had Rush win the X-Division Championship earlier this month at Slammiversary.
Lio Rush defeated nine-time X-Division Champion Chris Sabin in a relative squash match. This was due to the champion being jumped by Rush before the match officially began.
IMPACT Wrestling is scheduled to tape multiple weeks of television this weekend in Chicago, where they should certainly address Rush’s injury status.
On behalf of everyone here at WrestleZone, we wish Lio Rush a speedy recovery and hope to see him back in the ring soon.
