MJF and Adam Cole have earned a shot at tag team gold.
During the July 19 episode of AEW Dynamite, MJF and Adam Cole battled Sammy Guevara and Daniel Garcia in the finals of the AEW Blind Eliminator tag team tournament.
Before the bout could get started, Garcia and MJF’s hip-thrusting broke down into a full-fledged dance-off between all four men. Once Cole’s poor dancing seemingly ruined it, Garcia and Guevara attacked them to get the bout underway.
MJF was worked over for a period of time before Cole received the hot tag. When Garcia and Guevara tried double teaming, Cole had counters each time until Garcia trapped him in a submission. Cole broke free and then dumped Garcia out of the ring onto Guevara. After initial hesitation, MJF successfully dove through the ropes. In the end, MJF and Cole hit Garcia with a double clothesline, allowing MJF to score the three-count.
Post-match, Garcia and Guevara blew off Chris Jericho, while MJF questioned why Cole was holding the AEW World Championship.
FTR also came down to the ring and stared down their future challengers as MJF and Cole will now challenge them for the AEW World Tag Team Championship on the July 29 episode of AEW Collision.
WrestleZone will have complete coverage of that episode as it airs on TNT.
